Join us in welcoming Noah to Croft!

Join us in giving Noah a warm welcome to Croft as he starts his career in Engineering.

We would like to take this opportunity to celebrate Noah officially joining the team as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice. Noah came to us in July for an eight-week industrial work placement, however, his enthusiasm and aptitude led him to be offered an apprenticeship at Croft. Noah will benefit from a structured learning path that includes hands-on practical experience and dedicated classroom time to gain the essential academic knowledge and formal qualifications for a successful engineering career.

In the near future Noah will start at Wigan & Leigh College on the HNC Mechanical Engineering course where he’ll develop his skills in areas such as engineering design, engineering maths and mechanical principles—skills that are essential within the workplace.

Why did you want a career in engineering?

I’ve always wanted a career in engineering as my grandad was a chief mechanical engineer and he always told me stories about his time in the work place. This got me really interested in engineering and I wanted to learn more. I looked more into engineering and realized it was a lot more interesting than I thought. There was so much to learn that I wanted to know all of it and this sparked my interest for a career in engineering.

What have you enjoyed so far about being at Croft?

What are your career aspirations? I have loved working here at croft as I get to work both in the work shop and in an office. This is good for me as I get to see a product go from a drawing on CAD to being a finished part that gets packaged and sent out the door. Another reason I like it here at croft is the people are very nice and are happy to help if I have any questions. Having so many experts helping me along my journey to become an engineer is a big reason why Croft Filters is such an amazing company to work for and what makes it so enjoyable.

    What are your career aspirations?

My main career aspiration is to get a degree in mechanical engineering, as this will be super helpful to increase my knowledge about engineering. It will also help me be more efficient and helpful to Croft Filters, as I will be more knowledgeable about all the different types of processes that take place to get products from a drawing to fully made parts.
