Welcoming Hubert to Croft as part of his T-Level engineering course.

Last month, we were pleased to welcome Hubert to Croft as part of his four-week industry placement, conducted in partnership with Priestly College as part of his T-Level course — a qualification offered by colleges across the country. The structure of this course combines classroom theory with practical industry experience, requiring a minimum of 45 days of work-based learning. During his time with us, Hubert has taken part in hands-on, practical work that contributes to our commercial goals while bringing a fresh perspective to the company.

What have you enjoyed about your placement at Croft?

Hubert “I have enjoyed the tasks I’ve been set, and being able to use the manufacturing facilities — something that has helped me learn more about the industry environment.”

  Choosing to study                      engineering

Why did you decide to study engineering?

Hubert: “I like the idea of creating and inventing things. My dad is also an engineer, which inspired me to follow this career path – I suppose it runs in the family.”

  Looking Ahead

What are your career aspirations?

Hubert: “In the future, I would like to go into the mechanical engineering sector. Therefore, after I finish my T-Level, I would like to study mechanical engineering at university.”
