The Advantages of Quick Release Filters on the Production Line
Quick-Release Filters are common across many different industry sectors. These filters are designed to reduce production downtime and are ideal for tight production lines.
Croft’s Nozzle Filters are tailored to our customer’s unique processes and needs, and can be made with: Woven Wire Mesh, Perforated Sheet Metal or Wedge Wire. They are used across a variety of industries which include: Food and Confectionary, Gas, Water, Oil and more.
Used to encase the ends of nozzles, Nozzle Filters have a multitude of applications dependant on the use case of the nozzle itself.
This can range from spraying/atomising/forming media to stopping particulates of certain sizes and above from entering the nozzle, and therefore stopping clogging and the potential damage to the nozzle that would follow.
Nozzle Filters take on the shape of a half closed cylinder, where the open end is either welded onto the nozzle casing or it’s given the appropriate fitting which allows for a connection and seal onto the nozzle casing. When creating Nozzle Filters with thin material, we can use our in-house laser welder to weld the cylinder together, allowing for a small seam along the cylinder when it’s formed. This allows more even coverage when using the Nozzle Filter as a disperser due to more open area being given to the material of the filter itself.
