With 38 years of experience in designing custom filtration solution we offer our knowledge and experience to design a filtration solution that meets your exact specifications. Due to this sieves are manufactured from a variety of materials including wire mesh, knitted wire and wedge wire depending on the level of filtration required. To ensure the product operates seamlessly and has greater control over its open area we utilise our in house capabilities to custom-punch perforated plates this aids in maintaining minimal pressure drop within the system.

Mash Tun Floor

A Mash Tun is a brewhouse vessel used for mixing ground malt with temperature-controlled water. This process creates a sugary liquid known as mash.

At Croft, we manufacture custom wedge wire used within Mash Tun Floors using high-quality materials, this prevents blinding and clogging, helping to ensure continuous production. Based in the wire production town of Warrington Croft have a vast amount of understanding of the material. We supply stainless steel 316 used for food-grade due to its excellent corrosion resistance.

Baskets

With over 38 years of experience in manufacturing these filter types Croft have seen a wide array of production process, all unique and therefore requiring different filtration solutions. Filter Baskets provide a high degree of separation, designed to help aid in keeping the pressure drop within the system at a minimum our skilled team utilise our in-house capabilities to custom punch the perforated plate. This enables us to have more control over the open area of the filter, guaranteeing that the product filters at the most accurate micron size whilst running efficiently. At Croft we work with you to design a filtration solution that meets your exact specifications. During the concept phase each custom manufactured basket is designed with the consideration of the required level of filtration and operating pressures, with this in mind the bespoke filtration solution will be manufactured using perforated plate, wire mesh, knitted mesh or wedge wire.

Cone Filters

At Croft we custom manufacture Cone Filters to suit each customer’s process systems and therefore consider flow rate, pressure and the filtration requirements needed for their unique systems. Cone Filters are typically composed of custom punched perforated plate supporting one or more wire meshes. This ability enables greater control over the open area is made possible due to the custom punch plate, along with a selection of different mesh weaves. This aids in reducing pressure drops when a filter is in use. These filters are offered in a range of materials including: Mild & Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass, Inconel®, Monel®, Hastelloy® and Aluminium Alloy’s. Each material is of European or North American origin and are available with material certification on request.
